The 2024 National Public Data breach exposed Social Security numbers on a scale no other breach has matched. There is no settlement, no claim form, and no money — the company filed for bankruptcy and shut down. Any site offering you an NPD payout is not legitimate.

A hacker took a file from Experian holding the credit-application data of about 15 million people who applied for T-Mobile service or device financing between September 2013 and September 2015. Experian paid a $22 million cash fund. Claims closed on April 11, 2019.
