EY and Bank of America MOVEit settlement: October 8 deadline
Last updated: September 12, 2026
The EY and Bank of America MOVEit settlement offers eligible people a $100 cash option, subject to adjustment, or reimbursement of qualifying incident-related losses. Submit a claim online or postmark a paper claim by October 8, 2026. Eligibility is limited to affected U.S. individuals whose information was in files connected to EY’s services for Bank of America.
The settlement provides a $2.5 million fund for benefits and approved expenses, with a possible increase if the class exceeds 200,000 people. EY and Bank of America deny wrongdoing. This resolves claims against those companies; claims against Progress Software continue.

Who qualifies
- You are a living person in the United States whose personally identifying information was in files affected by the May 2023 MOVEit incident involving EY’s services for Bank of America. Being a Bank of America customer alone does not establish eligibility.
- The affected incident occurred May 27–31, 2023. Check your settlement notice or contact the administrator to confirm this specific case; other MOVEit settlements have different classes and deadlines.
- Defendants and specified affiliates and officials, the presiding judges and their families and staff, and people who validly opt out are excluded.
How to file an EY and Bank of America MOVEit claim
- 1
Find your notice credentials
Use the official File a Claim page. Online access requires your Claimant ID and PIN. Contact RG/2 Claims Administration through that page if your credentials are missing.
- 2
Choose one cash route
Choose the $100 alternative without loss documentation, or claim qualifying losses. Ordinary losses are capped at $2,500, including up to four hours at $25 per hour. Separate extraordinary losses can qualify for up to $10,000. Do not claim the same loss twice.
- 3
Provide the required evidence
Loss claims require supporting records, and time claims require an attestation. Extraordinary losses must be unreimbursed, more likely than not caused by this incident, and incurred from May 31, 2023 through the claim deadline. The alternative cash option still requires class membership and a signed claim.

Frequently asked questions
Is the EY and Bank of America payment guaranteed to be $100?
The EY/Bank of America alternative starts at $100 but can decrease if claims exceed available funds. Only alternative cash can increase from unused funds, potentially up to $1,000; neither amount is guaranteed.
Can I receive $12,500 from the MOVEit settlement?
In the EY/Bank of America case, $12,500 is the combined maximum for separate qualifying ordinary and extraordinary losses, before possible proportional reductions. It is not an expected payment. Ordinary losses include any time payment.
Can I combine the $100 cash option with loss reimbursement?
The EY/Bank of America $100 alternative replaces ordinary losses, time compensation and extraordinary losses. You cannot combine those cash routes. Two years of monitoring may be requested with either route.
What proof does an EY and Bank of America claim need?
EY/Bank of America loss reimbursement requires supporting records; claimant-prepared receipts alone are insufficient. Time requires an attestation. The alternative needs no loss documentation, but eligibility and the signed claim are still required.
When is the EY and Bank of America claim deadline?
EY/Bank of America MOVEit claims must be submitted online or postmarked by October 8, 2026. Use the official administrator website for the form and notice credentials.
When will EY and Bank of America settlement payments arrive?
No payment date is confirmed for the EY/Bank of America MOVEit settlement. The approval hearing is scheduled for October 15, 2026, and payment depends on final approval and resolution of any appeals.
