How we verify settlements

Current and former La Jolla Group employees residing in the United States whose information was affected by the November 2023 cybersecurity incident may claim settlement benefits. The standard deadline is November 23, 2026, for online submission or a mailed postmark.

Eligible claimants can choose $95 for the California subclass or $45 for other class members instead of claiming lost time or documented losses. The alternative loss benefit is capped at $2,000 per person, including up to $100 for lost time, and may be reduced under a $50,000 aggregate limit. Two years of credit monitoring can accompany either option.

Who qualifies

  • You must be a current or former La Jolla Group employee residing in the United States whose information was affected by the cybersecurity incident in or around November 2023. Being a customer or simply buying a company product does not establish eligibility.
  • The California subclass consists of class members who were California residents at the time of the incident. The higher cash alternative is tied to that subclass.
  • Excluded are the defendant and its officers and directors, valid opt-outs, assigned judges and their staff and families, and people found criminally guilty of initiating, causing, aiding or abetting the incident or who plead no contest to such charges.

How to submit a claim

  1. 1

    Find your class credentials

The issued form asks for the Class Member ID and PIN from your postcard or email notice. Contact Analytics Consulting at 1-866-853-4275 or LJGDataSettlement@noticeadministrator.com if you need help with your credentials.

  2. 2

    Choose the appropriate benefit

Choose the $95/$45 cash alternative, or claim lost time and/or documented losses. Cash cannot be combined with either lost time or loss reimbursement. You may select two years of credit monitoring with either route.

  3. 3

    Prepare proof and sign

For monetary losses, provide reasonable third-party documentation; a personal declaration alone is insufficient. Lost time needs no documents but requires at least one full hour and a sworn attestation. Sign the truth-and-accuracy declaration; claims remain subject to verification and requests for supplemental information.

  4. 4

    Submit by the standard deadline

Use the official website’s claim link or mail the completed signed form and required documentation to La Jolla Group Data Settlement, c/o Analytics Consulting LLC, PO Box 2004, Chanhassen, MN 55317-2004. Online claims must be submitted and mailed claims postmarked by November 23, 2026. Paper claims receive checks; electronic payment requires online filing. If you received a remailed notice, ask the administrator about the agreement’s minimum 30-day period from remailing.

Loss caps and conditional payments

The $50,000 figure limits the combined loss claims; it is not the overall settlement fund. The defendant separately funds the cash alternative, monitoring and approved administrative and legal costs. Do not add the cash alternative to a lost-time or documented-loss request.

If you received a remailed notice, the agreement gives at least 30 days from remailing to submit a claim. Confirm your applicable deadline with the administrator; no exact time-of-day cutoff is stated here.

Frequently asked questions

How much can I receive?

The cash alternative is $95 for the California subclass and $45 for other class members. Instead, eligible claimants may seek up to $2,000 for actual unreimbursed incident-related losses, including up to $100 for lost time. Valid loss claims are reduced proportionally if they exceed the $50,000 aggregate loss cap.

Can I claim cash and lost time together?

No. The cash alternative cannot be combined with lost time or out-of-pocket losses. Credit monitoring can be added to either benefit route.

What losses and time are covered?

Qualifying losses must be actual, unreimbursed and traceable to the incident, incurred between November 2023 and the claims deadline. Lost time covers time spent responding to the incident during that period, at $25 per hour for one to four full hours, with an attestation. Both are included in the $2,000 individual loss limit.

What proof is required?

The form requests your Class Member ID and PIN. Out-of-pocket losses require reasonable third-party records such as receipts, statements or invoices. Lost time requires a sworn attestation but no supporting documents. Cash and monitoring do not require loss documentation. The administrator may request additional verification.

What does the monitoring benefit include?

Two years of one-bureau credit monitoring with at least $1 million in identity-theft protection insurance, among other features. This is monitoring and insurance coverage, not a $1 million cash payment.

When will payments be sent?

Payment depends on final court approval, the settlement becoming effective and claim review. The agreement calls for payments within 45 days after its Effective Date, which accounts for appeal rights. No fixed payment date is established here.

What if I do nothing or want to opt out?

Doing nothing provides no benefits. Unless you validly opt out, you remain bound by the settlement if approved, including its release. The current notice lists November 23, 2026 for opt-out requests and objections; read the official notice for the separate procedures and requirements.
