They usually pay actual out-of-pocket money — repair bills, rental cars, or the value lost on a resale — so keeping receipts and repair orders matters more here than in most settlements. ClosedThe FTC said CarShield's ads — including ones fronted by Ice-T and Chris Berman — promised repairs would be covered when many were not. If you paid CarShield between September 2019 and September 2024 and had a claim denied, a check was mailed to you automatically in December 2025.
