How we verify settlements

YES Communities settlement class members can claim $50 alternate cash, or seek up to $2,500 for qualifying documented fraud or identity-theft losses plus up to $80 for time spent addressing the incident. The $50 option cannot be combined with the documented-loss or lost-time payments. Eligible members may also elect three years of one-bureau credit monitoring through IDX.

The settlement concerns a data incident between December 9 and 11, 2024. The court-certified class covers living individuals in the United States whom YES Communities notified that their private information was impacted, subject to the exclusions below. YES Communities denies wrongdoing.

Submit an online claim by November 5, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. Eastern time, or mail a claim postmarked by November 5. A valid claim is required for money or credit monitoring. Benefits depend on final court approval and the settlement becoming effective.

Frequently asked questions

Can I receive both $50 and the loss or time payments?

No. The $50 alternate cash payment replaces both documented-loss and lost-time claims. You may combine qualifying documented losses (up to $2,500) with attested lost time ($20 per hour, up to four hours and $80). Three years of one-bureau IDX credit monitoring is available in addition to a cash payment.

What qualifies as a documented loss?

It must be an actual, documented, unreimbursed monetary loss related to fraud or identity theft, incurred after the incident and more likely than not caused by it. Include supporting records and explain the loss, causation and reasonable efforts to avoid it or obtain reimbursement. Personal statements alone are not sufficient documentation. Amounts reimbursed by another source cannot be claimed again.

What proof do I need for lost time or the $50 option?

Lost time requires an attestation of time spent remedying issues related to the incident, at $20 per hour for up to four hours. The $50 alternative does not require loss documentation. All claims still require the requested class-membership information and a truthful, personally signed claim form.

What is the exact filing deadline?

Online claims must be submitted by November 5, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. Eastern time. Mailed forms must be postmarked no later than November 5, 2026. The date comes from the final notice and the Eastern-time cutoff from paragraph 64 of the settlement agreement.

When will payments arrive?

There is no guaranteed calendar payment date. The settlement must receive final court approval and become effective, including resolution of any appeals. The agreement directs the administrator to distribute cash payments and credit-monitoring codes no later than 60 days after the effective date.

What if the online claim portal is unavailable?

The official site also provides a downloadable four-page claim form that can be mailed with supporting documents by the postmark deadline. Contact Analytics Consulting LLC at 866-307-8556 for help or a form.
