Who qualifies

  • You received direct notice that your private information may have been impacted in NJ Lenders' August 2025 data incident. Being a customer or suspecting exposure alone does not establish class membership.
  • The class is not limited to New Jersey residents. NJ Lenders directors and officers, governmental entities, the assigned judge, that judge's immediate family and court staff are excluded. People who validly opted out cannot receive settlement benefits.
  • For documented-loss reimbursement, provide reasonable records of unreimbursed expenses connected to the incident, incurred from August 18, 2025 through the date you file. A personal statement alone is insufficient; it can explain supporting records. Do not claim expenses already reimbursed by another source.
  • The alternative cash option does not require documentation of financial loss. You must still be a class member and submit a complete, truthful, personally signed claim. Choose one cash option and file one cash claim.

How to file an NJ Lenders settlement claim

  1. 1

    Locate your notice

Check that you received direct notice of possible impact from this incident. Online filing requires the notice LoginID and PIN. Contact Simpluris at (833) 421-7307 or info@NJLendersDataSettlement.com for missing credentials. The downloadable paper form asks for the Login ID only if known.

  2. 2

    Choose one cash option

Select the $40 alternative payment or documented-loss reimbursement up to $2,500. Attach reasonable loss records if claiming reimbursement. Both payments may decrease under the shared $100,000 cash limit; the two options cannot be combined.

  3. 3

    Personally sign and submit

Review the certification under penalty of perjury and sign it yourself. Submit online by 11:59 p.m. Eastern on October 1, 2026, or postmark your paper claim by October 1. Use the mailing address printed on the official form and keep your confirmation or mailing record. The administrator may request more information.

  4. 4

    Keep your monitoring code

After final approval, follow the administrator's instructions to activate one year of monitoring using the code sent with your notice. A cash claim is not required for this separate benefit. ClaimBee helps you discover settlements and review deadlines; your claim certification must remain your own.

Frequently asked questions

Is the NJ Lenders settlement payment guaranteed to be $40?

No. The NJ Lenders agreement offers a $40 alternative cash payment, but all approved cash claims share a $100,000 limit. If claims exceed that limit, payments decrease proportionally. There is no verified final per-person amount.

Can I receive $2,500 plus the $40 payment?

No. NJ Lenders class members choose either up to $2,500 for documented, unreimbursed incident-related losses or the $40 alternative. Both options are subject to proportional reduction under the combined $100,000 cash cap.

What is the NJ Lenders claim deadline?

Submit an NJ Lenders cash claim online by 11:59 p.m. Eastern on October 1, 2026, or mail it postmarked by October 1. The October 16 approval hearing is a separate date.

Can I file without an NJ Lenders LoginID or PIN?

Online NJ Lenders filing requires the notice LoginID and PIN. Ask Simpluris for help recovering them. The official paper claim is another filing route and labels the Login ID field 'if known'; all other applicable form and signature requirements still apply.

What documents support an NJ Lenders loss claim?

Submit reasonable records such as receipts, account records or correspondence showing unreimbursed expenses tied to the incident, from August 18, 2025 through your filing date. A standalone personal statement is insufficient. The alternative cash option does not require loss documentation.

Do I need a cash claim to receive NJ Lenders credit monitoring?

No. NJ Lenders class members receive monitoring activation codes with their notices. They must enroll after final approval to activate the one-year service. Receiving a code is not automatic enrollment, and this benefit does not require a cash claim form. Contact Simpluris if your code is missing.

When will NJ Lenders settlement payments arrive?

The NJ Lenders final approval hearing is scheduled for October 16, 2026, at 11 a.m. Eastern. Payments depend on approval and resolution of any appeals. No fixed payment arrival date is confirmed; check the official administrator's website for updates.
