Xactus settlement: credit-report claims due September 29

Last updated: September 22, 2026

Xactus and Credit Plus's $2.4 million settlement covers specific credit-report errors affecting consumers with U.S. or territory addresses. Claims are due September 29, 2026. The administrator estimates about $500 per valid claim, but the actual payment may be higher or lower.

A valid claim requires your notice credentials and your own signed certification that the reporting harmed you. File online, or contact the administrator about the agreement's paper option after identity verification. ClaimBee explains the requirements but cannot sign or submit this claim for you. The companies deny wrongdoing; payments require final court approval.

Who qualifies

  • You are a natural person with an address in the United States or its territories. From November 16, 2021 through June 18, 2026, Credit Plus prepared and sold a merged infile credit report about you to a third party.
  • The merged report showed a charged-off account in R9 status with both a nonzero balance and a calculated nonzero monthly payment. Two of the three consumer reporting agencies had reported that same account to Credit Plus with a zero balance.
  • Having a mortgage, a charged-off account or a Credit Plus report alone does not establish eligibility. The notice identifies people in the companies' records; contact the administrator if you believe you qualify but did not receive one.
  • To receive payment, submit a complete claim and personally certify under penalty of perjury that, to your knowledge, information and belief, Credit Plus's sale of the report with that calculated monthly payment harmed you. Valid opt-outs receive no settlement benefit.

How to file an Xactus settlement claim

  1. 1

Find your Claim Number and PIN

Use the credentials on your settlement notice. If they are missing, contact Continental DataLogix at (888) 279-4006 or questions@CinnerFCRAClassAction.com. Do not guess credentials or assume that every credit-report error qualifies.

  2. 2

Review and personally sign the certification

Complete the official online form with accurate contact information. The paper form asks for your full name, current address, phone, email, Claim Number, PIN, signature and date. It requires a truthful harm certification; it does not request an itemized loss amount or routine attachments.

  3. 3

    Submit by September 29, 2026

Online filing is the standard route. Agreement section 9.1 allows the administrator to provide a paper form after you validate your identity with the notice identifier and access code. Contact the administrator to arrange that option; the completed paper form must be postmarked by September 29. Personally sign and submit your claim.

  4. 4

    Keep your address and confirmation

Select electronic payment through the official site if preferred; otherwise payment is by mailed check. Keep your contact details current. Payments depend on final approval and resolution of appeals, so the hearing date does not promise a check date.

File this one — and find the ones you're missing.

Frequently asked questions

Who qualifies for the Xactus settlement?

The Xactus class covers consumers with U.S. or territory addresses whose Credit Plus reports were sold November 16, 2021–June 18, 2026 and showed the specified R9 charged-off account error: a nonzero balance and calculated monthly payment while two of three credit bureaus reported that account with zero balance. A valid payment claim also requires a personal harm certification.

Is the Xactus payment guaranteed to be $500?

No. The Xactus administrator estimates about $500 using historical claim rates. Valid claimants share the net settlement fund proportionally after approved deductions, so actual payments may be higher or lower.

What is the Xactus claim deadline?

Submit your Xactus claim by September 29, 2026. Online filing is the standard route. An administrator-assisted paper claim, available after notice-credential identity validation, must be postmarked by that date.

Can I mail the Xactus claim form?

Agreement section 9.1 permits a paper Xactus claim after the administrator validates your identity using your notice identifier and access code. Contact the administrator first and follow the current paper form's mailing instructions. Its postmark deadline is September 29, 2026.

Does the Xactus claim require proof of harm?

The Xactus form requires a personal certification under penalty of perjury that the reporting harmed you, to your knowledge, information and belief. The paper form has no itemized-loss or attachment field, but notice credentials and a truthful signed certification are required. It is not an unrestricted no-proof claim.

Can ClaimBee submit my Xactus claim?

No. The Xactus agreement requires the class member's own signature and rejects claims submitted by a nonmember. Use the official filing process yourself. ClaimBee provides this guide and links to the administrator; it does not sign or submit this claim.

When will Xactus settlement payments arrive?

No payment arrival date is confirmed. The Xactus final approval hearing is scheduled for November 5, 2026. Payments follow final approval and resolution of any appeals; check the administrator's website for updates.
