Knott’s and Great America: $8 Cash or Credit Settlement

How we verify settlements

Eligible class members can choose $8 cash by filing a valid claim, or receive an $8 credit automatically if they do not claim cash and do not opt out. The standard cash-claim deadline is December 22, 2026, online or by mail postmark. Recipients of a notice marked Second Email Attempt have 60 days from receiving that notice. People later accepted as omitted class members may have a separate notice-specific deadline.

The settlement covers non-season tickets purchased from June 28, 2020, through July 1, 2024, inclusive, for Knott’s Berry Farm or Knott’s Soak City through knotts.com, or California’s Great America through cagreatamerica.com, with a processing fee and a California billing ZIP code. The court’s definition of California citizens uses the billing ZIP entered for that purchase.

The estimated combined value of cash and credit benefits is $11,241,880. The $8 benefit is per participating class member, not per ticket. Separately paid administration, attorney and representative awards do not reduce that $8. Benefits depend on final approval and the judgment becoming final. Defendants deny wrongdoing in Isayan v. Cedar Fair, L.P., No. 24STCV16212, Los Angeles Superior Court.

Who qualifies

  • You purchased at least one non-season ticket from June 28, 2020, through July 1, 2024, inclusive, for Knott’s Berry Farm and/or Knott’s Soak City at knotts.com, or for California’s Great America at cagreatamerica.com, and were charged a processing fee.
  • You entered a California ZIP code for the billing address during that online purchase. The court expressly uses this definition for California citizens; the form’s current mailing address need not match your purchase address.
  • Excluded are the defendants and their parent companies, subsidiaries and affiliates, their respective officers, employees, agents and affiliates, and any judicial officer presiding over the action. People who validly and timely opt out receive neither benefit.

How to choose the $8 cash benefit

  1. 1

Check eligibility and locate your Notice ID

Review your purchase and settlement notice. The paper form labels Notice ID “if known,” but its instructions also say you cannot submit without it. If you did not receive an ID, contact the settlement administrator at 1-888-885-4303 or Info@KnottsGreatAmericaSettlement.com before trying to file.

  2. 2

Complete the official claim and choose one payment method

Provide your name, current mailing address, email address, telephone number and Notice ID. Choose a virtual prepaid card, PayPal, Venmo, Zelle or a mailed check, and provide the information required for your choice.

  3. 3

Sign the certification and cooperate with verification

Sign, print your name and date the form, certifying the information under penalty of perjury. Claims can be checked against purchase records and audited. The administrator can request additional information, including documentation needed to confirm membership, a name change or authority to act.

  4. 4

Submit by the deadline that applies to your notice

Submit online or mail the completed form postmarked by December 22, 2026. If your notice is marked Second Email Attempt, the deadline is 60 days after you received it. Mail to Isayan v. Cedar Fair, L.P., c/o Settlement Administrator, 1650 Arch St. Suite 2210, Philadelphia, PA 19103. For mailed claims, keep a legible postmark; an illegible postmark is treated as untimely unless the administrator receives the form within three days after the applicable deadline.

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to file a claim to receive any benefit?

No. Eligible participating class members who do not submit a valid cash claim automatically receive an $8 credit. A claim is needed only to choose $8 cash instead. Opting out means receiving neither benefit.

How can the $8 credit be used?

It is a one-time credit for a future paid purchase on sixflags.com for use at a defendant-operated park in the 48 continental United States. It can be combined with another discount or offer, is freely transferable and has no blackout dates. It expires 36 months after issuance. The agreement also covers a replacement park website if the operator later uses another domain.

Do I need receipts or other proof?

The court says the standard claim form does not require assembling purchase receipts or park-attendance information. It does require identifying and payment information and a signed certification. The administrator may validate claims against records, audit them and ask for documents if needed to confirm membership or resolve a problem. Contact the administrator if you lack a Notice ID; do not assume the “if known” field label removes that requirement.

What if I received a Second Email Attempt or was missing from the class list?

A notice marked Second Email Attempt gives you 60 days from receipt to claim cash, object or opt out. If the parties later agree to add someone omitted from the class data, the agreement gives that person the later of 14 days after receiving their notice or the deadline dates stated in it. Contact the administrator for the deadline that applies to your notice.

When will benefits be sent?

The agreement provides for distribution within 45 days after the Effective Date, which depends on final approval and the judgment becoming final after any appeals. The scheduled final-approval hearing is March 30, 2027, at 10:00 a.m.; it may change. No guaranteed calendar payment date is stated.

What happens if my cash election is invalid or I do not cash the check?

A class member whose cash election is denied for failing to follow the form instructions receives the credit instead. Checks expire 180 days after issuance; an uncashed check is voided and replaced by the $8 credit within 28 days after expiration under the agreement. Keep your contact and payment information current with the administrator.
