How we verify settlements

The Coast Dental TCPA settlement offers eligible U.S. recipients a choice of up to $59 cash or a voucher of up to $99 toward an electronic toothbrush sold by Coast Dental. Valid claims are due December 24, 2026. Payments may be reduced for approved fees, administration costs and the service award; the maximum amounts are not guaranteed.

The class covers people who, during the four years before this action was filed, received more than one qualifying appointment text or call within a 12-month period on their cellular number after replying with STOP or a similar text opt-out. The complaint was filed July 6, 2026.

Coast Dental agreed to make up to $3,840,664 available, including cash and voucher benefits and settlement expenses. The case is Chaviano v. Coast Dental Services, LLC, No. 2026-013610-CA-01, in Miami-Dade County, Florida. Coast Dental denies wrongdoing; benefits depend on final approval and resolution of appeals.

  • The communications must have reminded or encouraged you to schedule an appointment with Coast Dental, reached your cellular telephone number, and followed your STOP or similar opt-out reply to Coast Dental texts.
  • The court order excludes the trial judge; Coast Dental and specified related entities and personnel; released parties and specified immediate family members; timely opt-outs; and plaintiff’s counsel, their employees and immediate family. Review the full order and agreement if an exclusion may apply.

How to submit a Coast Dental settlement claim

  1. 1

Check your qualifying number and class membership

Identify the cellular number that received the qualifying appointment messages or calls after your text opt-out. Review the full class definition and exclusions.

  2. 2

Choose cash or a toothbrush voucher

Select one benefit on the form. If you leave the choice blank or unclear, the agreement and claim form provide for a voucher, not cash.

  3. 3

Complete and sign the official form

Provide your name, address, qualifying phone number, current phone number and the requested contact details. Attest to the qualifying communications, sign, date and print your name. The administrator may research and verify the claim and contact you for more information.

  4. 4

    Submit by December 24, 2026

Use the official online claim link or mail a completed form postmarked by December 24, 2026. The paper form and agreement also permit email to the administrator. Follow the current official instructions. Only one claim is allowed per class member, and the agreement also limits claims to one per qualifying telephone number.

Frequently asked questions

Is $59 guaranteed?

No. Cash is up to $59; the alternative is a voucher of up to $99 toward an electronic toothbrush sold by Coast Dental. Approved fees, administration and a service award can reduce the available benefits.

What if I do not select cash or a voucher?

The claim form and agreement say an absent or unclear choice defaults to a voucher.

What information does the claim form require?

The public form requests contact information, the qualifying telephone number and a current number. You must attest to receiving the qualifying communications after opting out, and sign and date the form. Claims are subject to administrator research and verification. Do not submit more than one claim per class member or qualifying number.

When will payments arrive?

Only after final approval and any appeals are resolved. The agreement provides for distribution within 60 days after the Effective Date, subject to its terms. Checks are valid for 90 days after the date on the check. No guaranteed calendar payment date is stated.

Does doing nothing produce a payment?

No. A valid, timely claim is required. Remaining in the class without claiming can still release the claims covered by the settlement.
